Planning

The Woodson team brings expertise in all areas of civil engineering to plan and scope out your project, including surveying and related disciplines, water and wastewater utilities, stormwater management and transportation. While we recognize that each site and project are unique and require a custom approach, we have been providing planning services for over 25 years and understand the process. With this experience comes substantial local knowledge and regional expertise, as well as long-standing relationships with personnel across many departments within municipalities and regional agencies.

We also serve municipalities in review of plans and design of public works projects including plat review, review of conceptual plans, layout review, and cost share calculations for developments. We truly understand both sides of the process, and can provide the developer critical review feedback prior to their further investment. Our planning expertise includes:

  • Feasibility Studies
  • Preliminary Planning
  • Land Use and Master Plans
  • Development Potential and Costs
  • Site Capacity Analysis
  • Improvement District Development
  • Infrastructure Studies
  • Rezoning
  • Conditional Use Permits
  • Public Involvement Programs

We have also helped many municipalities throughout the region plan for and manage growth over the past 25 years. These services have included review of water and sewer main capacity, traffic studies, water and treated effluent systems modeling.

Water Master Plan

Woodson prepared a Water Master Plan for the City of Williams. The purpose of the Plan was to document the existing water system, provide a working water model for future use, evaluate demand, identify system deficiencies, identify system modifications for future growth, identify improvements to increase system performance, and to develop improvement recommendations for the system.
