Chase McLeod – Engineering Technician

Before joining Woodson in 2021, Chase began working as a Field Technician after completing his Bachelor of Science degree from Northern Arizona University in 2020 in Environmental Engineering. His job responsibilities have included performing concrete testing, soil density testing, soil sampling, and report preparation. He has also helped perform stormwater plan reviews for new development in Flagstaff. He is experienced with AutoCAD Civil 3D, as well as HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, Bentley WaterGEMS, CulvertMaster, and FlowMaster.

Project Experience
Auto Plaza, Flagstaff – Woodson is working with the architect on the Concept Plan and Site Plan approval for adding an additional building to this parcel. Flow generated by the site discharges into Rt. 66 ADOT ROW requiring ADOT coordination and an encroachment permit. Chase is assisting with the preparation of the Construction Plans and Documents for the project using the approved Site Plan and our previously completed survey as a basis.

Adventure Park, Williams – Woodson is providing engineering and surveying services for this 20-acre recreational adventure park facility in Williams. Chase is assisting with the rezoning submittal as well as the development of site plans.
Mikes Pike, City of Winslow – Chase is the technician for this project involving development of topographic surveys and project basemap, street and pedestrian lighting and design and preparation of construction documents of new curb, gutter and sidewalk.

24-Inch Sewer Main, City of Winslow – Chase is providing technical expertise in this project involving the design and preparation of construction documents and bid documents for the replacement of a 24” sewer main. This project will provide for the replacement of the five segments of pipe. Woodson is also providing post design services which include bid phase services and construction administration. Construction funding for this project will be provided through the Water Infrastructure Finance Authority of Arizona (WIFA) loan.

Huntington Waterline Public Outreach, City of Flagstaff – Chase is assisting in the coordination with property owners along the proposed alignment of the new 16” Huntington Waterline, including discussion of the proposed improvements, private property owner encroachments on the existing easement, and coordinating construction needs with the property owners.
