Andrew Watson, EIT – Engineer In Training
Before joining Woodson in 2021, Andrew began working as an Engineering Intern after completing his Bachelor of Science degree from Northern Arizona University in 2019 in Civil Engineering. His job responsibilities have included stormwater management plans, drainage impact studies and water quality impact studies for subdivisions and commercial sites, as well as site design for commercial sites. He is proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D, and HydroCAD and experienced with Bentley FlowMaster, WaterGEMS, HEC-RAS, GeoHECRAS, and Win-TR55.

Dogtown Waterline, City of Williams – This project involves survey and design of 15 miles of new waterlines. Andrew is working on the construction administration phase of the project, attending construction meetings and monitoring field operations.
Forest Tank, City of Williams – This project includes construction of a one-million-gallon storage tank and 4,560 feet of new 12” PVC water line. The purpose of the Million Gallon Tank (MGT) is to provide adequate pressure in the summer months when tourism is high and water supply levels are low, and increase the City’s fire flow storage capacity. The tank is located east of downtown Williams and will connect to the city’s water system in Route 66 via a 12” line. The tank construction is a steel bolted frame with epoxy lining. Andrew is working on the construction administration phase of the project, attending construction meetings and monitoring field operations.
Peeples Valley Water Company, AZ – Andrew is assisting with ADEQ coordination to bring a new water well into compliance. This includes: conducting a site visit site to document the above grade piping and equipment on the well head; compiling the available information into a qualified set of as-builts to be submitted to ADEQ; submitting a qualified design report with the ATC documenting the provided information of the well; and submitting the ECC and the as-built plans for approval.
24-Inch Sewer Main, City of Winslow – Andrew is providing technical expertise in this project involving the design and preparation of construction documents and bid documents for the replacement of a 24” sewer main. This project will provide for the replacement of the five segments of pipe. Woodson is also providing post design services which include bid phase services and construction administration. Construction funding for this project will be provided through the Water Infrastructure Finance Authority of Arizona (WIFA) loan.
