Construction is finished on the Townsend Winona Road project for Coconino County. This was a great project and we appreciated the opportunity to provide design and surveying services. Check out some project pictures.

We are ramping up on a new federally funded project in the Verde Valley! We have been retained by Yavapai County and the City of Sedona to design a pavement preservation project including repair and/or replacement of the pavement on Boynton Pass and Dry Creek Roads. Our experience with federally funded projects requiring plan submittals to ADOT was an important component of being awarded this contract. Woodson’s Jeff Swan is our transportation and pavement specialist and will be the Project Manager on this new project.

Mike Farley and Rick Schuller will be attending the 89th Annual AZ Water Conference and Exhibition running from May 11 thru May 13 at the Renaissance Hotel in Glendale, AZ. Mike will be presenting a talk on the Sinclair Sewer Interceptor project he designed for the City of Flagstaff. The talk is at 11:00 on Thursday, May 12. If you attend the talk, please stick around afterward to chat with Mike and Rick about our wastewater systems services and projects.

Arizona Floodplain Managers are coming to Flagstaff May 4th through May 6th for their Spring conference. Two of Woodson’s engineers are Certified Floodplain Managers (CFM) and will be attending the conference: Sirisha Kalluri and Jeff Swan. One of the conference highlights is a field trip to see the Schultz Fire and Flood Mitigation Project. Woodson’s team was pleased to have a major role in this project role as the prime design firm for the Copeland Detention Basins project. This project was part of the overall effort and was focused on detaining and releasing flood waters at a slower rate to prevent the overtopping of US 89.

We are pleased to have been selected to continue to provide On-Call Engineering and Survey Services to the City of Flagstaff! Our work in our local communities is a top priority and we enjoy working with the many talented and dedicated City staff and public servants at the City of Flagstaff.

The Roads and Streets Conference was a spectacular success and we enjoyed attending again! This annual event, organized by the American Council of Engineering Companies of Arizona and scheduled the week before Easter is one of the biggest of the year with over 1500 attendees. We enjoyed reconnecting with friends and making new friendships and look forward to next year.

We have been selected to provide On-Call Professional Services to the City of Prescott in the areas of Surveying; CADD Services; Stormwater Services; and Transportation Engineering! We look forward to working with the City of Prescott and assisting with their infrastructure needs.
