Grant Evans, Project Manager
Grant has 14 years of experience working on a wide variety of projects including single family housing developments, multi-family apartment complexes, industrial and commercial sites, and roadway/ thoroughfare design. His experience includes preparing construction plans, technical specifications and contract documents. He has also been involved with training new hires on CAD software, design standards, and operating procedures. Grant has been an integral team member on the Firm's construction administration projects during construction for the City of Winslow. He is proficient with MicroStation, AutoCAD Civil 3D, AutoTURN, and Flowmaster, GIS and Carlson Natural Retrograde. He recently completed an intensive training course through FHWA and ADOT covering the Design and Construction of ADA Facilities.Education
Timber Sky, Flagstaff - Grant was the Designer for this 200-acre, 1500-unit development in Flagstaff which included an infrastructure plan with water and sewer system analysis and design, a drainage report, and stormwater management. His work included preparation of construction estimates as well as construction documents including street design, sewer and water infrastructure, grading and drainage, stormwater management infrastructure. After Woodson provided all planning, surveying and engineering, the project moved to the construction in spring, 2018.
Bus Stop Mobility Improvements, NAIPTA - Grant is the lead designer and CAD technician for this projects which involves infrastructure improvements to improve mobility and accessibility at approximately 42 existing bus stops in Flagstaff. The intent of the project is to improve these stops so that they are in compliance with Federal Transit Administration ADA guidelines. He is responsible for the design and preparation of the construction plans as well as the engineer's cost estimate.
Mike's Pike Improvements, City of Winslow - Grant was the lead designer and CAD technician for this roadway and drainage improvement project.He was responsible for developing the construction plans for this project which included new curb and gutter, sidewalks, driveways, street lights, and a new storm drain system along an existing arterial street. He also prepared the contract documents and specifications as well as assisted in the construction administration.
Copeland Regional Detention Basins, Coconino County - Grant was the lead CAD technician for this project which involved designing detention basins to prevent, or limit, overtopping of US 89 north of Flagstaff, AZ. He performed the initial design calculations and the construction cost estimate for use by the county, ADOT, and FHWA. He also prepared the construction plans for the project
Beaver and Leroux Street Improvements, City of Flagstaff - Grant was the lead CAD technician in developing the construction plans and exhibits necessary for the project. He was also responsible for providing the base design data for use by the engineers in finalizing the design of the project.
